Story: What are your experiences teaching & learning in the time of coronavirus?
The coronavirus is something I never thought I would have to go threw. A pandemic is something I only ever learned or heard of in my history classes throughout school. Going into 2020 I never thought this would be the outcome. I thought it was going to be one of the greatest years of my life because so much was already scheduled to happen to me this year. I would graduate high school, turn 18, start college and all kinds of things. But then things took a turn for the worse. School was cancelled and at first it was for only a few weeks. Then those few weeks turned into the last few months of my high school career and I didn't even get to experience a real graduation or my last prom. In high school I never considered some things to be important until they were taken away from me. Now I have started college but it is all online. I like it because I do things at my pace and how it helps me best. But I had to miss out on the real college experience. No new friends to make, no professors to get mad at, or late nights spent in a dorm studying. I missed out on a lot of thigs this year that always seemed stupid and not important to me. The coronavirus took a lot of things from people and some things can never be replaced. It's something that I wish would of stayed in my history books, but now I'm living in a part of a history book for future generations.
